Invoice Calculator

Build an invoice total with tax, discount, shipping and early-payment terms.

What the Invoice Calculator does

An invoice total applies the discount first, adds shipping, then charges tax on the combined amount. Early-payment terms offer a small discount for fast settlement — valuable to the seller's cash flow and expensive credit for the buyer to decline.

Formula

  • Net goods = Subtotal − Discount
  • Taxable = Net goods + Shipping
  • Total = Taxable + Tax
  • Balance due = Total − Deposit

Frequently asked questions

What does "2/10 net 30" mean?

Take 2% off if you pay within 10 days; otherwise the full amount is due in 30. Skipping the discount to delay 20 days costs roughly 36% a year.

Is tax charged on shipping?

In most jurisdictions yes, when the goods themselves are taxable. Rules vary, so confirm locally.
