Commission Calculator

Calculate commission earnings including tiered rates and a base salary.

What the Commission Calculator does

Commission is a percentage of sales. Many plans add a threshold below which no commission is paid, or an accelerated rate above a target — both are modelled here so you can see the true effective rate.

Formula

  • Flat: Commission = Sales × Rate
  • With threshold: Commission = (Sales − Threshold) × Rate
  • Tiered: below-threshold sales at the base rate, above-threshold at the accelerated rate

$50,000 × 4% = $2,000 plus $35,000 × 7% = $2,450, totalling $4,450 commission and $7,450 pay.
