Commission Calculator
Calculate commission earnings including tiered rates and a base salary.
What the Commission Calculator does
Commission is a percentage of sales. Many plans add a threshold below which no commission is paid, or an accelerated rate above a target — both are modelled here so you can see the true effective rate.
Formula
Flat: Commission = Sales × RateWith threshold: Commission = (Sales − Threshold) × RateTiered: below-threshold sales at the base rate, above-threshold at the accelerated rate

Worked example
$85,000 of sales at 4%, with a $50,000 threshold and 7% above it, on a $3,000 base.
- Sales
- 85000
- Rate
- 4
- Threshold
- 50000
- Bonus rate
- 7
$50,000 × 4% = $2,000 plus $35,000 × 7% = $2,450, totalling $4,450 commission and $7,450 pay.
