How to report an error
If a result looks wrong, that is the single most useful thing you can tell us — see the Contact page for what to include. A report with enough detail to reproduce the result gets looked at first: the calculator, the inputs you entered, and what you expected instead.
What happens after a report
A reported error is checked against the calculator’s own worked example and, where the calculator depends on one, against its recorded source. If you believe a formula, constant or rate is out of date, sending the source you are working from lets us review it against the published definition directly rather than against our recollection of it.
When a correction is made
Calculators may be corrected, improved or removed at any time. Where a formula changes materially, the change is noted on the calculator itself — not left silent — so a reader who bookmarked a page notices the figures moved and why.
