What the Crypto Liquidation Distance Calculator does
Liquidation distance is the practical measure of how much room a leveraged position has left. Expressed as a percentage of the current price, it tells you directly whether an ordinary daily move could close you out.

What buffer is safe?
There is no buffer that makes a leveraged position safe, and no percentage this calculator can recommend without knowing the asset, the timeframe and what you can afford to lose. The useful question is the other way round: given how far this asset has moved against positions like yours, does the buffer cover it — and what happens if the move is larger than any you have seen?
