Business Days Calculator

Count working days between two dates, excluding weekends and holidays.

What the Business Days Calculator does

Business days count only the days you actually work, excluding weekends and any public holidays you specify. Both endpoints are included when they fall on working days, which matches how contractual and shipping deadlines are usually counted.

Formula

  • Step through each date from start to end
  • Count the day if it falls on a working weekday and is not a listed holiday

Frequently asked questions

Are the start and end dates included?

Yes, when they fall on working days. If your contract counts "within 5 business days of receipt", the receipt day is usually excluded — subtract one in that case.

Which working week should I choose?

Monday to Friday is standard in most of the world. Sunday to Thursday applies in parts of the Middle East, and six-day weeks are common in some sectors.
